In which I gush with thanks and joy, as my new book, Meet me in Gaza, is published and has already garnered great reviews

My new book has just been published!

I am so delighted to introduce Meet me in Gaza to the world: there is much celebrating to do – this has been a long hard beautiful journey to publication – but I will write again very soon. In the meantime, there have been some cracking reviews – from the Sunday Times, the ‘life in books’ website – http://alifeinbooks.co.uk/ – and I will be on Radio 4 ‘Open Book’ on Sunday June 9th at 4pm, discussing travel writers who live in places, as opposed to passing through them, with Mariella Frostrup. So listen in!

I am also doing a reading at 7 pm on Monday June 10th at Woolfson and Tay bookshop, on Bear Lane in Southwark: and you are most welcome to join us. http://www.woolfsonandtay.com/ – just please send me an email if you are coming, so I can make sure there are enough chairs and drinks!

See you soon, Louisa!

We all know this long-term crisis demands a long-term political strategy, instead of EU member states abandoning refugees, and Greek communities, to fend for themselves. In the meantime, self-organised groups like SV are on the ground seven days a week, working alongside refugees on Samos, to make life in the camp more bearable.
